The light on late Sunday afternoon was warm and golden as we finished an afternoon of clipping the blackberries in the maze and mowing the patches again. A very small number of blackberries were ready for picking down by the shed where it is probably hottest. We got as many as possible – about 100 grams before resigning to another month of waiting.
I took another picture of the dead tree because I was sure it had lost some of its upper branches since I last took its photo. It is in danger of dropping a massive limb since one is already precariously balanced on some lower branches, having already snapped at the trunk. The picture on the right was taken from the bottom of the hill near the shed on Sunday. The picture on the left, from the west corner of the block, taken back in about May 2014. Hard to see exactly if any and what changes have happened to the tree over the last 6 months. I’ll need to take another picture from the same position at our next visit. Other trees are obscuring view of the tree somewhat.
